When the opening bell of Martinez Middle School rang on March 26, 2009 , 40 exceptional students of Ms. Dahl's AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program screamed as they ran towards 4 stretch limousines supplied by Skyline Limousine Service and Fleet Management. These students were given the "Bucified Challenge" by Tampa Bay Buccaneers #1 Fan and Volunteer of the Year Bucified Bert - "Bucified" stands for "Be understanding citizens identifying friendly individuals each day". The extraordinary challenge was to be positive students and role models with good grades and attendance. Those that met the challenge were rewarded with an eventful day at WFLA with Bucified Bert - the special day included a tour of the news studio, lunch, and an assortment of cupcakes from the Cupcake Spot.
